SUMMARY:Freehand Batik Design
DESCRIPTION:Description\nThis course teaches participants how to create fre
 ehand patterns on fabric. In this workshop\, participants will work within 
 a grid structure inspired by iconic Yorùbá textiles such as Ibadan Dun an
 d Olokun to design and transform cloth. They will also cut their own foam s
 tamp for freehand printing\, developing greater control of pattern and comp
 osition. Guided by expert instructors\, participants will build practical s
 kills while creating a unique\, finished piece.\nMaterials supplied\nThe su
 bsidized fee includes the use of wax\, dye supplies\, and stencils. Each pa
 rticipant will be provided with one meter of cotton. Participants will keep
  their finished projects. An experienced instructor will guide each step of
  the process. You get to keep your finished project. Refreshments will be p
 rovided.
