SUMMARY:Single Colour Batik
DESCRIPTION:Description\nÀdìre alábééla is a contemporary Yorùbá bat
 ik technique. This introductory course teaches participants how to create a
  simple one-colour batik design using traditional wax-resist methods. Stude
 nts will learn the basic processes of sketching patterns\, applying hot wax
  to fabric\, and dyeing with a single colour to produce bold\, elegant desi
 gns. By the end of the course\, each participant will complete their own un
 ique batik piece to take home.\nMaterials supplied\nThe subsidized fee incl
 udes the use of wax\, dye supplies\, and stencils. Each participant will be
  provided with one T-shirt and one meter of cotton. Participants will keep 
 their finished projects. An experienced instructor will guide each step of 
 the process. T-shirts are available in sizes S\, M\, L\, and XL. You get to
  keep your finished project. Refreshments will be provided.
