DESCRIPTION:Description\nDiscover a centuries-old resist-dyeing tradition d
 eveloped by women in Southwestern Nigeria. In this hands-on workshop\, part
 icipants will learn how to prepare a natural cassava starch paste and apply
  it freehand onto cotton fabric using chicken feathers\, following traditio
 nal techniques practiced by generations of artists. Guided by expert instru
 ctors\, participants will explore the cultural significance of the process 
 while creating their own unique textile designs.\nMaterials supplied\nThe s
 ubsidized fee includes the use of cassava starch\, dye supplies\, and stenc
 ils. Each participant will be provided with one meter of cotton. Participan
 ts will keep their finished projects. An experienced instructor will guide 
 each step of the process. T-shirts are available in sizes S\, M\, L\, and X
 L. You get to keep your finished project. Refreshments will be provided.\nE
