DESCRIPTION:Description\nLearn how to create a distinctive network of lines
  on fabric through the beautiful crackle effects made by wax in batik. This
  class explores different techniques for achieving these fine decorative li
 nes and using multiple colors in the dyeing process to create rich\, artist
 ic designs. Participants will also learn proper methods for removing the wa
 x (dewaxing) to reveal their finished fabric pieces.\nMaterials supplied\nT
 he subsidized fee includes the use of tools\, dye supplies\, and stencils. 
 Each participant will be provided with one meter of cotton. Participants wi
 ll keep their finished projects. An experienced instructor will guide each 
 step of the process. You get to keep your finished project. Refreshments wi
 ll be provided.\nDuration: 4 hours (10am -2pm)\nEligibility: Open to all ad
 ults and children ages 8and above.
