SUMMARY:Stitch Resist Pattern
DESCRIPTION:Description\nÀdìre Alábéré (Stitched Resist) is a Yorùbá
  resist-dye technique as well as a well know technique in several other cul
 tures. Artist and crafts men and women would make lovely patterns using han
 d stitching on fabric before dyeing. In this workshop\, participants will e
 xplore both straight-line and zigzag stitching methods to produce striking 
 geometric designs on fabric.\nMaterials supplied\nThe subsidized fee includ
 es the use of sewing supplies\, tools\, dye supplies\, and sinews. Each par
 ticipant will be provided with one T-shirt and one meter of cotton. Partici
 pants will keep their finished projects. An experienced instructor will gui
 de each step of the process. You get to keep your finished project. Refresh
 ments will be provided.\nDuration: 4 hours (10am -2pm)\nEligibility: Open t
 o all adults and children ages 8 and above.
