About this workshop
Learning how to create pleated designs in tie and dye is a fun and engaging way to explore textile art. This technique involves folding fabric into neat pleats before applying dye, resulting in beautiful repeating patterns and striking linear effects. Pleated designs are beginner-friendly and offer endless creative possibilities through variations in color, texture, and pattern arrangement. In this class, participants will learn basic folding methods, dye application techniques, and finishing processes to produce their own unique hand-dyed fabrics.
Materials supplied
The subsidized fee includes dye supplies, one T-shirt and one yard of cotton for each participant, tying sinews, and access to all tools required for the craft. Participants will keep their finished projects. An experienced instructor will guide each step of the process. T-shirts are available in sizes S, M, L, and XL. Refreshments will be provided.

Open to all adults and children ages 8 and above.
