About this workshop
This course teaches participants how to create vibrant multi-colored batik designs. Participants will learn the basic techniques of applying hot wax to fabric and dyeing with more than one color to produce bold, elegant patterns. By the end of the course, each participant will complete a unique batik piece to take home.
Materials supplied
The subsidized fee includes the use of tools, dye supplies, and sinews. Each participant will be provided with one T-shirt and one meter of cotton. Participants will keep their finished projects. An experienced instructor will guide each step of the process. T-shirts are available in sizes S, M, L, and XL. Refreshments will be provided.
Eligibility
Open to all adults and children ages 8 and above.
